We might compare the company identity at the root of our work to that of an individual; for both it is the foundation of behavioral patterns. Therefore it is crucial when you conduct training sessions that you prepare the session so that it supports the company identity.
The number one way in doing this is to have the company identity analyzed, written down and published within the company. It has to be common knowledge for every person in the company because the employees will support each other in the identity and it will grow stronger.
With the identity written down you know what to do and it is important what not to do during a training session. Let’s say that part of your company identity is punctuality. Then you as a trainer have to be on time after every break, assignments have to be handed in on time and so forth. This is a simple example and I’m sure you can transfer this to your situation.
When you choose to use external trainers to conduct your training sessions you will have to teach them your identity. By teach, I mean they have to know deep inside what that identity means to you, the company, the employees and customers. You might want to check out the training material before the training starts to make sure the identity is implemented correctly.
Don’t be too hard on yourself. If you make a couple of mistakes the first few attempts; just keep learning and you will succeed.
Have a great time training with your company identity in mind.
